Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of integrated arts education activities on the sense of entrapment, depression, and happiness in patients with schizophrenia. The study involved 10 participants diagnosed with schizophrenia, who participated in integrated arts education sessions once a week for 120 minutes each, over a total of eight sessions, from January 3 to February 21, 2024. Data were collected through a single-group pre-test and post-test design, and paired-sample t-tests were conducted using SPSS 21.0. The results indicated that the integrated arts education activities reduced the sense of entrapment and depression while increasing the level of happiness among the participants. These findings demonstrate that integrated arts education can have a positive impact on the mental and emotional well-being of individuals with schizophrenia, suggesting its potential as an effective complementary approach in the management of schizophrenia.
