
브레인 웰에이징 댄스(BWD) 지도자 교육과정 모형 개발

초록
본 연구의 목적은 시니어의 뇌건강과 웰에이징을 지원하는 브레인 웰에이징 댄스(Brain Well-Aging Dance: BWD) 지도자 교육과정 모형을 개발하고 전문가 내용타당도 검증을 통해 그 적절성을 확인하는 데 있다. 이에 BWD는 무용동작치료, 무용창작, 무용교육을 아우르는 무용 기반 접근에 통합예술치료, 소매틱, 성인학습, 신경과학의 관점을 융합한 다학제적 교육과정이다. 본 연구는 개별 프로그램의 구성을 넘어 교육과정을 지탱하는 이론적 체계와 운영 구조를 갖춘 지도자 교육과정 모형 개발에 중점을 두었으며 이를 위해 최근 5년간(2020–2025) 국내·외 문헌 총 87편(국내 21편, 국외 66편)을 분석하고 그 결과를 토대로 모형을 설계한 뒤 전문가 검증을 수행하였다. 먼저 선행연구 분석에서 도출한 신체·인지·정서·사회의 통합적 건강 구조를 WHO의 건강노화 및 뇌건강 관점에 비추어 BWD 지도자 교육과정의 4-Pillar로 정립하였다. 이어 성인학습 관점, Kolb의 경험학습, Bruner의 나선형 설계 원리를 통합하여 1회기 운영 구조와 전체 과정을 아우르는 단계별 순환 구조를 구성하였다. 개발된 모형은 전문가 5인을 대상으로 내용타당도 비율(CVR), 내용타당도 지수(I-CVI·S-CVI), 수정 카파(κ*)와 같은 정량 지표와 전문가 의견의 주제분석을 결합하여 검증하였다. 그 결과 척도수준 내용타당도(S-CVI/Ave)는 .95로 나타났으며 15개 문항 중 11개 문항은 채택되고 4개 문항은 시니어 대상 수업의 안전성, 운영 가능성, 단계별 활동과 신경과학적 근거 간의 정합성을 중심으로 수정·보완되었다. 본 연구는 춤을 예술교육적 매개로 삼아 시니어의 신체·인지·정서·사회적 경험을 통합적으로 이끌어 뇌건강을 지원하는 무용교육 지도자를 양성하고자 하는 BWD 지도자 교육과정의 첫 연구로서 초고령사회에서 시니어를 위한 춤의 새로운 가치와 방법론을 모색하는 이론적 토대이자 기초 연구 자료를 마련하는 데 의의가 있다. 이에 본 모형의 실천적 효과와 현장 적용 가능성은 향후 효과 검증과 다각적 후속 연구를 통해 규명될 과제로 남긴다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop a Brain Well-Aging Dance (BWD) instructor training curriculum model designed to support brain health and well-aging among older adults and to verify its appropriateness through expert content validity evaluation. BWD is a multidisciplinary curriculum that integrates perspectives from Integrative Arts Therapy, somatics, adult learning, and neuroscience into a dance-based approach encompassing dance movement therapy, dance creation, and dance education. Rather than focusing solely on the design of an individual program, this study aimed to develop an instructor training curriculum model supported by a coherent theoretical framework and operational structure. To this end, a total of 87 domestic and international studies published over the past five years (2020–2025; 21 domestic and 66 international) were analyzed. Based on the findings, the curriculum model was designed and subsequently underwent expert validation.
First, the integrated framework of physical, cognitive, emotional, and social health derived from the literature review was established as the 4-Pillar of the BWD instructor training curriculum in light of the WHO perspectives on healthy aging and brain health. Subsequently, perspectives on adult learning, Kolb's experiential learning theory, and Bruner's spiral curriculum principles were integrated to construct both a single-session operational structure and a stage-based cyclical structure encompassing the entire curriculum. The developed model was evaluated by five experts using both quantitative indicators, including the Content Validity Ratio (CVR), the Content Validity Index (I-CVI and S-CVI), and the modified Kappa coefficient, together with thematic analysis of expert opinions.
The results showed that the Scale-level Content Validity Index (S-CVI/Ave) was .95. Of the 15 evaluation items, 11 were accepted, while four were revised and refined with particular attention to the safety of class sessions for older adults, operational feasibility, and the alignment between stage-based activities and neuroscientific evidence.
As the first study to develop the BWD instructor training curriculum, which aims to cultivate BWD instructors capable of supporting brain health by facilitating the integrated physical, cognitive, emotional, and social experiences of older adults through dance as an arts-based educational medium, this study is significant in providing a theoretical foundation and a basis for future research exploring new values and methodologies of dance for older adults in a super-aged society. The practical effectiveness and field applicability of the proposed model remain subjects for future investigation through effectiveness verification and multifaceted follow-up studies.
